- 4 slices bread preferably day-old
- 30 g butter melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper

- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Cut bread into cubes.
- Toss bread cubes with melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Spread evenly on the prepared tray.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until crisp.
- Cool slightly before serving on top of soup.
