Materials
Main Ingredients
- 1 kg chuck steak, cubed
- 1 tsp finely chopped fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 sticks cinnamon sticks
- 2 pods cardamom pods, bruised
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 200 g plain yoghurt from a 200g carton
- 125 ml oil
- 3 medium onions, sliced
- 500 ml water
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 40 ml lemon juice
- 125 ml fresh coriander, chopped
Instructions
Marination
- Combine steak, ginger, garlic, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, chilli powder, cumin seeds, and garam masala in a large bowl and mix well.
- Stir in yoghurt and mix until the steak is well coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
