Pulot – Thai Glutinous Rice

Materials

Topping

  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp rose essence
  • OR grated rind of 1/2 orange and 2 tbsp orange water

Base

  • 2 cups glutinous rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tin 400ml coconut milk
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Rinse rice. Mix all ingredients (base ingredients). Bring to boil, then simmer until all water is absorbed.
  • Place rice in serving dish. Pour over topping. Enjoy WARM or COLD & TROPICAL FRUIT.
