I was recently asked what the back story of my user handle, #SkywalkerIsNull is? And as we all know, naming things is hard.

I have been on the internet for a while now, and my previous online identities were most created when I was a pre-teen, or teenager. At the time they were cool, but they were also very cringey as an adult.

The first part of the name is easy to understand, my last name is Walker, and I had some colleagues call me Vader as a nickname. From that the first company I started was called Skywalker Consulting. From this Skywalker is an easy to grasp part of my handle.

Fast forward a few years and I started to work in software projects that every now and then I would need to join a forum to get support. One day I needed to sign up to a new forum and I realised that I did not want to use the same username that I had been using for years, and I was going there to post about a Null bug/error.

It quickly came to me to blend the Skywalker part, and the Null part and that is where I came up with SkywalkerIsNull.
